Tom,

At my company, we use Warnings, Cautions, and Notes. They are defined right inside the front cover, immediately following
any trademark information.

The definitions used are:

WARNING notices as used in this manual apply to hazards or unsafe practices
which could result in personal injury or death.

CAUTION notices apply to hazards or unsafe practices which could result in property
damage .

NOTES highlight procedures and contain information which assist the operator
in understanding the information contained in this manual.

For the record, we are in compliance with ISO 9000.
