I don't see why. First, unless I jumped to the wrong conclusion,
you're assuming it would cost more to live in the Midwest than the
Northeast (which would surprise me). Second, her company *matched*
the offer of the Midwestern company, so she's making what she would
have been making "overseas" anyway.
Or were you talking about something other than money?
