(sung to the tune of . . . well, you'll get the idea . . . )

Please sir or madam will you read my book
it took me weeks to write, won't you take a look?
It's based on a Novell, on some new software,
and on Stephen Jobs' and I want to be a technical writer
("do do do")
Tech-nical Writer!

It's a thousand pages, give or take a few
I'll have more to proof in a day or two.
I can make it shorter if you like the style,
I can change it 'round and I want to be
a technical writer
("do do do")
Tech-nical Writer!

*Tech-nical Wriiiite-r, WRiiite-r, wriiiite-r.*

It's a whirling story of a whirling man
and his clinging wife doesn't understand.
His son works home using daily e-mail --
it's not a steady job, so he wants to be
a technical writer
("do do do")
Tech-nical Writer!

No flames please, Beatles fans -- or anyone else, for that matter! (even
if I do deserve it!)
