TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I have just been told by the Interleaf folks that I can send my
10-years'-worth of Interleaf documents through their WorldView Press
software and produce PostScript files complete with hyperlinks
corresponding to TOC, cross-reference, and index entries, and, that
these files can then be run through the Acrobat Distiller to produce
fully-linked .pdf files. I would very much like to hear from someone
who has experience with this process. If it really works I just might
be able to justify the $5K price tag!
