In response to John Posada's eMail concerning date format standards:
In New Zealand, we use the 07 June 1997 format rather than the June 07,
1997 format. Note the comma. I have never understood why Americans want to
have the medium unit (month) first before the small unit (day). In normal
sense, one goes from small to large or large to small, ie, day, month,
year. - It's logical, isn't it?
The web standards certain require us to use the DD MMM YY or MMM DD YY as a
minimum standard so as not to confuse people. At the end of the day, it
probably doesn't matter which way it goes, except that the month should be
in words and not in numeral format.
