Did Jack explain what his business or organization does?

Can he explain why he likes to put "technical writers" in quotes, as if
it's a foreign, unexplained, or to-be-ridiculed concept?

As far as I can tell, he barely hides his scorn for the profession, yet
asks us to do "research" for him.
