Subject:My Bonney Lies Over the Ocean From:William Blank <wmblank -at- JUNO -dot- COM> Date:Wed, 30 Jul 1997 08:01:35 -0700
Yiddish has a great word: Narrishkeit. It means something like
"foolishness combined with wannabe attitude." Our friend Bonney provides
us a wonderful example.
I responded to his original request for comments to his narrishkeit and
questioned his distain for capital letters.
And so for your listening and dancing pleasure, here is his response:
>>i have nothing against capital letters, it's just that the internet's
>>history is rooted in the unix operating system and so, quite often,
>>character strings are case-sensitive; in order to simplify typing,
>>especially with a new keyboard, we communciate via e-mail and internet
>>using lower-case letters as much as possible; only if there is some
>>real need to use capitalization do use them.
Hhhhmmmmm.
