Colleen,

Your problem isn't "text boundaries".... that option only makes the text
borders visible. It sounds like the problem is in your paragraph style.
Select the paragraph, then go (on the menu) to Format > Paragraph, and
look at your spacing before and after the paragraph.

Are you using styles? If not, you probably should. If you are, check
your style definition to see if you accidently changed it.
