The Software Products Department of Power Technologies, Inc.(PTI), a world
leader in the supply of software, consulting services, education and
specialized hardware to the electric power industry, is seeking a Technical
Writer to oversee all aspects of the creation of end-user documentation for
our complete line of engineering analysis software products.
Responsibilities include:
Establishing style standards for technical authors
Working with engineering personnel to create end-user documentation
Supervising the production staff for desktop publishing
Selecting tools and methods for electronic publishing
Setting schedules and work plans to handle multiple concurrent projects
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in either Technical
Communication or a technical discipline and must be able to understand and
document engineering software applications. Excellent oral and written
communications skills are required. Knowledge of the following word
processing and desktop publishing applications is desirable: MS Word,
Framemaker, Adobe Acrobat products and help authoring tools such HelpBreeze.
