The short answer to whether or not most contract translation
agencies support ArborText is that most translation agencies
will support whatever the client wants them to support!

However, the quality, speed and efficiency of the translation may
suffer if the agency is not *really* familiar with the product. Most
agencies will be somewhat familiar with SGML and SGML editors,
but it is not an ideal format for translating.

More and more people with a translation/localisation requirement
are using Machine Translation and Translation Memory technology
to optimise the quality and efficiency of their translated material.
Most of these systems work with Tagged Text Formats, similar to,
but much less verbose than, SGML.

The S-Tagger 2.0 for FrameMaker will support FrameMaker+SGML
files, retaining all the structured and formatting information, whilst
allowing
the translator to work in RTF format. If you would like more information
about The S-Tagger, please e-mail me directly at sarahc -at- indigo -dot- ie -dot-

Kind regards,
Sarah
