Ginna;

Because you said MicroStation for DOS, I'm guessing that the help format
is MDL (Microstation Development Language). This was the help that
required that Tracking be set on in order to view help on dialog boxes.

Bentley produced the help files for MicroStation itself. I think that
they still do it in MDL. However, if you are using an Intergraph
product built on MicroStation (such as MGE), the help was generated in
CLIX with a home-made documentation tool (I/WRITE which is a tagged
ASCII formt). The help was then translated to MDL format.

When MS was available on NT/Win95, the Intergraph help was converted to
WinHelp. However, I'm not sure of the MicroStation help. The DOS-based
products are a few years old (everything is on NT now). I didn't get to
work with them. I've been documenting our object-oriented products.
Therefore, my experience with MS-based applications is limited.
