Jeff;

Here's a possible kluge. Word has an add-on called Word Art. You can
do the following:

1) Display the headers and footers (View -> headers and footers).

2) Insert a Word Art object (Insert -> Object ->Microsoft Word Art)

3) Format the object's text to create the header/footer with the Word
art controls

4) Rotate the object by 270 degrees

5) Exit Word Art

6) Place a frame around the Word art object (Insert -> Frame) and drag
it to the desired position on the page

7) Exit Header and Footer view

You will have to hard-code page numbers.
