I'm over 400 message behind and haven't read any background on this
thread except for the most recent post. So pardon me if this has been
said...
I *love* MS Publisher; however, I do not recommend it for long
documents. The longest document I've used Publisher for is about 110
pages. It is fantastic DTP software for small to medium-sized projects.
For business/corporate technical documentatoin, I recommend either Frame
(which I've never used but know it is comparable to Interleaf) or
Interleaf (which I -have- used and recommend highly).
