That's why I use style guides all the time: you avoid "you" vs.
"me" and instead go to a neutral arbiter. I specify what guides I'll be
using in my proposal or memo
or whatever I use to describe the project.
You might want to bring up an area where you & she disagree--maybe
even one where you're wrong--and introduce *Chicago* and, say, "How to
Write a User's Manual," which will tell her to use 2nd person.
