TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
One of my clients, a Fortune 100 company, has developed a program for
training its engineers and technicians how to use a comprehensive
software program for managing construction projects including contract
documents, drawings, design documents, and catalog literature. The
company is currently putting together a team to modify the training
materials for use in the European Community, initially the United
Kingdom. Do any of you know whether the European Community or its member
countries have publication standards that would apply to a project like
this?
I would appreciate any insights you could share with me.
Thanks
Howard Rauch
