Financial writing is also considered technical communication (if you don't
think it's technical, try describing the structure of a new offering in
simple yet accurate language.) It also pays beautifully, for those with the
right qualifications. A friend of mine with a Harvard MBA claimed she never
charged less than $100 an hour.
