TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I just attended the WinHelp and Web Developer's Conference in Austin
and saw a demo on RoboHelp 5.0 and was pretty impressed by all the
functionality. Like the new indexing tool which seems like a
professional indexer. The management tool writers can use to select
the status of a topic, the graphical view of links to a topic, and
list of broken links.
We currently use Doc-To-Help and I'm trying really hard to convert us
to RoboHelp 5.0
Personally I can't wait to get my hands on RoboHelp 5.0.

Who was telling me it wasn't out yet? Well guess what? I just received
my WinHelp 5.0 kit from Blue Sky Software - manuals, software, and all.
I haven't installed it yet, but will let everyone know how it compares
to 4.0.
