Well it _originated_ on Unix, but AFAIK the Windows & Mac versions are
full ports and should work correctly. On Unix you have ability to pipe
the PS through various filters. That's the main difference I can see.

I got the distribution in three parts: the GhostScript interpreter, the
GSview viewer, and the font packages. Maybe you were missing one part?
