Howdy!

Since Macs are the standard for publishing and documentation, your
first questions should be "Can you handle PC/Framemaker documents?"
You want to know what their level of expertise is with process or spot
color (depending on your needs) and their list of charges. You can
get eaten up really quick on a color project by unexpected charges if
you are unaccustomed to a color environment (process color, that is.)

And of course, the bottom line is...the bottom line. And, is process
color *really* needed, when spot color would do? Don't do color pubs.
just to satisfy someone's ego.

Hope I Helped

Hi all -

Can you good folks provide me with some tips on selecting a printing
vendor? I will be developing user guides, quick reference cards (in
color), installation cards (also in color), etc., for telephony
products, using FrameMaker for PC. What questions should I ask printers
to see if they can meet our needs? I'd love to hear your war stories!

Thanks,
