I also don't think that indentation emphasizes the relationship with
preceding text, and I find it jarring visually.
I noticed that quite a few folks mentioned accommodating nested bullet lists
as a reason for not indenting bullets. In a situation calling for nested
bullet lists, I'm inclined to consider subheads.
