Description: Excellent opportunity for an experienced Technical
Writer with solid writing and on-line skills.
Energetic and self-motivated individual needed to help produce
documentation for the CareTools products. This person will be a key
contributor within a new documentation group and will be responsible
for helping with all printed and on-line documentation as needed to
complete projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Work cooperatively as a team member to help research, write, edit,
update, and maintain documentation in multiple formats (hard copy,
RoboHelp, PDF, HTML).
Manage priorities and workflow to deliver accurate, complete
documentation on schedule.
Write appropriately for multiple audiences.
Learn new tools, Intranet concepts, and methods as needed.
Participate in developing documentation style guide and
procedures.
Skills
Excellent writing, editing, and interpersonal skills.
Sharp, energetic, and self-motivated.
Able to work closely with software engineers in a fast-paced
environment.
3 to 5 years of high-tech writing experience or training in technical
writing or related field.
Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality materials for
technical and end-user audiences.
Knowledge of latest PC-based desktop publishing software, preferably
FrameMaker.
Experience
Experience with FrameMaker and RoboHelp necessary. Strong technical
background in one or more of the following: client/server, Internet,
relational databases.
Knowledge of heathcare industry beneficial. Experience writing in HTML
helpful.
Education
BA/BS in a technical or writing discipline or training in technical
writing or related field.
