Subject:Hideous FRAME Problem From:"Mulcahy, Laura" <laura -at- AGENT -dot- INFODATA -dot- COM> Date:Mon, 29 Jun 1998 12:45:01 -0500
OK, now that I have your attention...
A few months back, I converted old Frame files and redesigned the template, changing the font specifications, columns, page sizes, etc. But I keep experiencing one annoying problem.
When I double-click a file, Frame informs me that a font is missing. I have removed this font from everywhere I can think of (character catalog, paragraph catalog, etc), and STILL I am prompted every time I try to open the file. This problem prevents Frame from building my book file, cause Frame can't autogenerate a book when files within the book can't be opened. Doh!
I have tried:
- retagging everything in the paragraph catalog
- retagging everything in the character catalog
- creating a new file on my desktop, and pasting the text flow into it
- doing a Save As..., and changing the location of the file
- doing a search for reference of fonts, and the font in question didn't appear
- checking the reference and master pages (the font appeared nowhere)
- deleting unnecessary tags in paragraph and character catalogs
If you have ANY other suggestions, please email me at laura -at- agent -dot- infodata -dot- com, and I will post the solution (if there is one) to the list. I am PRAYING that someone out there can help me. This is making me insane! OK, it's making me _more_ insane!
Also, can someone please email me the address for the Frame mailing list?
Thanks a TON in advance!
