Try http://www.pcwebopedia.com/index.html

PC Webopedia indicates that GIF is:
"Pronounced jiff or giff (hard g) stands for graphics interchange format, a
bit-mapped graphics file format used by the World Wide Web, CompuServe and
many BBSs. GIF supports color and various resolutions. It also includes data
compression, making it especially effective for scanned photos."
And that's the way I understand the originator pronounces it.

DRAM is
"Pronounced dee-ram, DRAM stands for dynamic random access memory, a type of
memory used in most personal computers..."

Hope this helps.
