Hi,

I'm sorry to be asking this, as I'm sure I've seen it discussed here
before. However I could not find it in the archives or in MS support,
which may be more of a reflection on my search skills.

I was recently upgraded to Word 97 SR-1 (according to Help--About). Many
of my co-workers are still using Word 7.0 and some at other sites may be
in Word 6. I am going crazy because drawing objects keep disappearing
from our documents.

Yesterday I received a document from our HQ (probably created in Word 6
or 7). I opened/edited the document (including a small diagram) in my
Word 97, saved it as Word 6/95 and then sent it back to HQ. I got it
back today and the diagram is gone. All that remains is an empty box.
I'd be happy to see even a RED X!!

There has got to be a way to avoid this problem.

I won't even mention the chapter, section and sub-section numbering
problems that arise (well, I guess I did mention it). I knew to expect
this problem and can fix it fairly easily when necessary.

I thank y'all in advance for any help you can offer.

Sidebar: Am I the only digest reader who, although I may be ignoring 95%
of the messages, will always open the one titled "ADMIN - POSTING RULES
REMINDER" just to see what hot topic/flame war I've been missing??
