I too have suffered disabling shoulder, arm, wrist, and hand pain. I
assumed it to be carpal tunnels until I underwent $2000 worth of testing
that came up negative. The third doctor finally diagnosed me with
tendonitis -- golf elbow, tennis elbow and lots of others. Between a wave
keyboard, touch pad, gentle stretches, and breaks, I have been pain free
for the last 5 months.

Stretching was the biggest revelation. On intense typing days, I stretch 3
or 4 times, two minutes each way on each wrist. That's 8 minutes 4 times a
day max. On normal typing days, I stretch once. I'm hoping that this
success will hold through the winter. Cold seems to affect them in my mind.
