The thread started with someone who has a moonlighting opportunity
asking for advice about dealing with the current employer. See the
subject SONATA.

I'm with you, Barry. I also told my current manager I had *other things*
going on before I took this job. But the topic of my freelance work is
completely different than what my employer does so there's no conflict
of interest. Only potential conflicts of time, and I have been able to
effectively prioritize and manage so far.
