Subject:Word97 includefile and Visio problem? From:Dan Roberts <DRoberts -at- ISOGON -dot- COM> Date:Fri, 11 Sep 1998 10:45:03 -0400
(Note that this msg is cross-posted).
I'm using Word97, with bookmarks in a source .doc file referenced by a
target .doc file. So far, everything is working fine.
I've updated the source bookmarks to include Visio graphics in addition
to the Word text. Now, Word97 is barfing on my target file - text is not
updating correctly, styles are being removed and applied randomly, chaos
reigns.
I'm assuming that, other than forgetting to sacrifice the standard
Word97 black chicken this morning, that I've somehow mangled the source
Word97 file when including the Visio graphic. Has anyone else
encountered this, or similar problem? Is there a workaround?
I'm not going to try it today, but I am going to try reapplying the
source bookmarks, so as to *not* include the Visio graphics, and simply
have both files include the Visio graphics directly. Does anyone know if
that is a solution?
Thanks for the help that anyone can provide!
