Excuse my glaring ignorance, but what, exactly, is the purpose (or cause,
other than the sender) of test messages?
Why are test messages posted here?
Are test messages sent by people whose e-mail software is lacking and,
therefore, simply ought to be replaced with a real and robust e-mail
software?
Does anyone ever read Eric Ray's e-mail?
Does anyone ever read the Techwr-l "What to post" and "What not to post"
instructions? I'm sensing some irony here, especially within a profession
that complains that no one reads our material...
I'm serious about not knowing the cause, reasoning behind, or purpose of
test messages.
