A progressive Internet software design company is searching for a technical writer. Position involves writing and editing technical manuals and online Help for Internet software applications. Other duties include company-wide writing and editing assistance, working with others to develop and enforce style and design guidelines, and managing and tracking the publications development process.
Qualified applicants should meet the following requirements: strong editing and proofreading skills, knowledge of Help authoring tools (Doc-to-Help, RoboHELP, etc.), and experience with desktop publishing tools (PageMaker, Acrobat, etc.).
Familiarity with upcoming transition to Java-based Help, experience with graphic software packages (Corel Draw, Photoshop, PowerPoint, etc.), and Website development tools (HomeSite and Dreamweaver) an asset.
