In determining pay scales, employers don't use trade-association (aka STC)
data for obvious reasons.

Employers rely upon BLR (www.blr.com) and MRA for independent-research
results in determining pay, particularly by geographic location (state) and
industry and/or nature of business.

For a mere $495 a year, BLR sells "Employee Compensation in Your State,"
complete with quarterly updates. Refer to
