Ann Shaffer asked for our favorite computer term dictionaries.

We use _Webster's New World Dictionary of Computer Terms, Sixth
Edition_, by Bryan Pfaffenberger, ISBN 0-02-861890-4. A seventh edition
may well be available now. This dictionary was titled _Que's Computer
User's Dictionary_ in its previous editions.

This dictionary was issued to all editors when I worked for IDG Books
Worldwide (1994-1996). I had opportunity to briefly review all the
competing dictionaries at the time -- even ones IDG Books published --
and felt that this dictionary was the most thorough and that its
definitions were the clearest.

When I bought copies of this dictionary for my staff, it was the least
expensive of the crowd -- an added bonus.

Peace,
jim
