Greetings from a listserv newbie.

I'm a senior majoring in technical writing, and I'm currently gathering
research for a white paper. My topic is digital video (DV) for
training--focusing on possible consequences for tech writers and the TW
profession. I plan to cover how this technology is used, and I want to
include suggestions in the paper about how tech writers might best react
to this trend.

So far, I've found books on multimedia that include info on digital
video in general, and a few journal articles (T.H.E. Journal, Syllabus,
and Technical Communication) discussing script writing, but I don't want
to write a paper all about script writing.

I'm having the most difficulty finding web sites dealing with this
subject--all the web sites I've found so far are just companies
promoting their DV-related products.

If any of you know of relevant (and unbiased) web sites, books,
articles, etc. on this subject, and/or if you have opinions about the
potential effects of DV on tech writers, I'd appreciate hearing from
you.

Thank you all!

Linda Michaels
