Anonymous: In reviewing your story, I can see that what would have worked
best is if you would have signed a contract that lasted through the
duration of the first project. Then, you could have renegotiated your
compensation and signed a new contract for the next project at the same
company. Many of us learned something from your mistake, so don't feel too
bad.

People have told you to move on, which sounds like good advice. Your
recruiter got greedy, played mind games, and now he'll probably lose you.
Don't confront him. Don't dwell on the experience. Just move on. When
you're gone and he's getting 50 percent of nothing, he may just think about
how he could have handled the situation better.

Regards, Laurel

PS: Everytime you think about this situation and find yourself getting
upset, close your eyes and take two or three deep breaths. This simple
technique really helps a person stay centered.
