IMHO, you are torturing yourself by making assumptions and decisions before
thinking enough about the end user. I have seen lots of projects where the
end user wasn't thought of enough, and they all had frustrations. The last
thing you want to do is make decisions based on your own opinion, unless you
personally have identical background as the end user and happen to also be
trained and knowledgeable on tech writing.
