Perhaps you already got ten replies on this, but just in case you didn't...
I don't recall Version 5 specifically; I'm on Version 7. Just FYI, in
Version 7 it is very easy to add/edit/delete TOC items. Just drag and drop.
Anyway, you can go straight to the CNT file and type in the entries you
want.
The CNT file is the file that includes the table of contents entries. It's
just a text file. Open yours up in a text editor and you'll see how it's
put together. Basically, an item that will be a book in the TOC is preceded
by "1 " and an item that will be a page in the TOC is preceded by "2 " --
very simple format. It's very easy to hand-edit this file.
Additional points:
1) Close your project before editing the CNT file.
2) Back up your entire project first, just in case you mess anything up.
It's not a tricky procedure -- this is just an "always do..." type of step.
3) When it's done to your satisfaction, compile and test thoroughly.
