Hi folks,
I got some responses, but even more responses from other people  in Ireland and England that do not know where they can get this kind of information.
A man in France wrote that TW in the South of France can get about 300 000 F. Contracts rates are about 2000 F a day. A  job he discussed in Ireland would have paid IEP 20 000/year a year ago. A woman in France sent the following URL for the French chapter of STC: http://stc.org/region1/sfc/

A woman in Holland gave a starting salary of  3400 G/ month which went up later. 25 vacation days per year, some extra, but when she is ill, she loses from vacation days. 100 G per month for small expenses. Tax, insurances, pension come out of the brutto salary.
A man in Ireland writes that he used to read job descriptions at http://www.infolive.ie/jobfinder/ . He says that there are not as many salaries being posted there, but thinks the range was IEP 17 000 - 28 000 and that the avarage for a TW with 3 years' experience should be IEP 26 000/year.
The UK chapter of STC have a section on salaries: http://stc.org/region1/ukc/employ.htm#1.7

Regards
Helen
