Hi guys,

I'm PDF'ing an Illustrator file (using Save As... | PDF Format), and the
TrueType fonts that I'm using (Arial and Times New Roman) are getting translated
into some undesirable Adobe fonts.

I could just use desirable Adobe fonts then resave to PDF, but I would like to
know if there is another way to retain the TrueType fonts. PDFWriter /
Distiller / AppleWriter seem to produce real 'bitmappy' fonts, and that won't
cut it for this project (my resume).

My 2c: I wish that Adobe would realize that there is a whole world of TrueType
fonts that need to be supported, and not just their own fonts. I don't know if
this is a marketing strategy or an issue of software limitations, but I do know
that it really complicates and frustrates my PDF processes.

My best and thanks,
