Technical Writer position in Markham, Ontario, Canada

Company: Applanix develops, manufactures, sells and supports integrated
inertial/GPS products for precise measurement of the position and
orientation of moving platforms in dynamic environments. The company has
applied its expertise to robust positioning, motion compensation and
geocoding of remotely sensed data acquired in the air, at sea and on land.
Its products are designed to improve the quality of the users? data, and to
increase the productivity of surveying, positioning and mapping missions.

Responsibilities: Using developer or engineering notes and data, develop
technical and user documentation in standard formats for delivery.  Applies
technical knowledge of general subjects and documentation to translate
information from multiple sources into descriptive and comprehensive detail
for publication.  Develop, document and validate  work instructions and
production procedures.

Experience and Skills: Five (5) years experience in the development of
technical and user documentation, including user manuals, internal manuals
and procedures.  The applicant must be proficient with MS-Word 7.0 or
higher
and Adobe FrameMaker.
Other software used; MS-Office, Corel Draw 8, AutoCad 14.

Education: Minimum - Bachelors Degree or equivalent. (Five years experience
is considered equivalent.)
