I am reposting a job opening for another team at Capital One since the previous
version suffered from formatting problems. I will be happy to answer any
questions about the open positions, Richmond, or Capital One.
The position requires a writer who can create a TECHNICAL documentation set for
Capital One's primary customer service GUI. The GUI development team does NOT
need end user documentation or training documentation (the customer service area
has a huge staff of writers for both of those functions). They do need someone
who knows how to document the controls and associated code for a GUI created in
C++. This team has never had a technical writer, so they need someone who can
assess their information needs and fill them with little guidance from the
developers or managers. The writer will join a growing community of tech writers
within the IT organization at Capital One.

Any questions can be directed to me via phone or e-mail. Resumes and cover
letters should be directed to the recruiting contact at the end of each posting.
