Society for Technical Communication
1999 Region 5 Conference
Hosted by the Phoenix Chapter
October 14-16, 1999
Ahwautukee Grace Inn
The Phoenix Chapter invites you to attend *Hot Trends for Technical
Communication*, the 1999 Region 5 Conference, on October 14-16 at the
Ahwatukee Grace Inn. It'll be a "hot time in the old town" with
nationally known STC speakers:
== Mary Wise will do the Conference Welcome.
== Bill Horton will ask us "R U Y2K-RED-E?" - (which has nothing to
do with the Y2K bug).
== Meryl Natchez will tell us what to do "When Good Projects Go
Bad."
== Janice (Ginny) Redish will speak on "Measuring Value."
In addition, we have several local members presenting interesting and
timely topics for technical communicators.
There will be a trade show, wine and cheese reception, and networking
lunches and dinner. We will feature a post-conference workshop with
Ginny Redish about measuring the value of technical communication.
Costs for attending the conference start at $99 for members; there are
discounts available for full time students, presenters, and vendors.
Blue Sky Software and Crystal Software are our first confirmed
vendors.
Our Valley of the Sun is sure to provide a warm welcome for technical
communicators! Please join us!
There will be a registration form to download on our web site by the
end of August. To learn more about the "hottest" conference in the
southwest, visit our Phoenix Chapter web site at www.stc-phoenix.com,
