Dave,
Sounds like you are doing it correctly. When you are inserting pictures, do
you have field codes turned on or off? If you have field codes turned off
(default), you will see the pictures right in the DOC. If you turn field
codes on, you should see the IncludePicture field code in place of the
picture. To turn on field codes, use Tools, Options, View tab and enable
Field Codes. (Also, I like to set Field Shading to Always because fields are
easier to see.)
