For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
In brief, editing text on a notes page and then saving while in that view
deletes notes.
The solution is to turn off the 'Allow Fast Save' option. (Select Options
from
the Tools menu and click the Save tab.)
If you don't do that, you have to remember always to switch to another view
(other than Notes Page view) before saving, or to view notes on another page
in
Notes Page view before saving.
