Well, of course you won't find the best person just from the resume. But
lots of us don't want to be overlooked, so we include the keywords,
features/benefits (of hiring me), accomplishments and any other tool we can
to get to the top of that pile. I'm not a big proponent of lengthy resumes,
but others have found them to be advantageous. Mine's two pages, which
helps savvy hiring managers see that I know how to edit, condense and
summarize, among my many other talents. When I get the interview, I'll
expand as much as you need on any of the points in the resume.

I disagree with these and similar statements, you're not going to find the
best person just from their resume...I don't want to dredge through a pile
of 5 page resumes, anything over 2 makes me wince! I'll save these questions
for the interview.
