Please respond to me offline asap with any information you can offer
regarding that below.
If you were asked, for example, to do the following as a freelancer, which
involved hard copy and electronic versions, what would you charge and how
much time would you estimate for the job:
1) Copyedit (basic) professionnal/trade books that are part of an educational
series. For example, 75,000-80,000 words (approximately 300-325 double
spaced, typewritten pages) each, with a process involving 3 revisions from
beginning to final version.
2) Copyedit (basic) professional/trade Study Guides for
certification/accreditation exams, estimated at, for example, 100 "book
pages," with a series of 3 revisions to final version. [Any ideas re.
conversion of book pages to ms pages??]
3) Indexing of the books referred to in #1, with words highlighted by authors.
4) Copyedit a "Diagnostic Kit" of, for example, 250 book pages, with 3
revisions.
Any input will be greatly appreciated.
