Subject:Better images in HTML help ? From:Jeremy WALKER <jwalker -at- infodesignnews -dot- com> To:"'TECHWR-L -at- LISTS -dot- RAYCOMM -dot- COM'" <TECHWR-L -at- LISTS -dot- RAYCOMM -dot- COM> Date:Wed, 5 Jan 2000 15:57:17 +0100
We are writing software manuals using Word 2000, and we wish to convert them
directly into help files to clear a backlog of work as quickly as possible.
My colleague has run quite a lot of tests with Robohelp 5.5 to create HTML
help from the manuals, and the results look promising - except for one thing
: the screen grabs look awful unless you blow them up to an unreasonably
large size.
Does anyone know a solution to this problem ? Our tests with Winhelp do not
seem to be much better.
By the way, the images are 256 color tiff files inserted into the Word
documents using Insert>Picture>From file.

Jeremy WALKER (Technical Writing Department)
