I don't want to sound defensive, but there is a bit or two between the
research and the publishing. It's not as if you could just pour the SME's
notes into a format and call it documentation--assuming the SME was inclined
to write out the notes to begin with. I've never been in a situation where
all I was expected to do was "publish it." Guess I've been lucky.
