This is excellent advice.

This is why, despite Richard Yanowitz's suggestion, I recommend have
Autosave turned OFF. Invariably, you will end up doing something during one
of the autosaves that will crash Word (and/or corrupt it), especially if it
is a long file. I think one of the most reliable ways to mess up your file
is to print and save at the same time.

If you save frequently, then you don't need autosave.
