I have used both ForeHelp HTML and RoboHelp HTML for years. The learning
curve for FH is not as steep as RH. I began using it right away, without
training, using only the internal help system as reference and have had
no problems. You will have no trouble using existing HTML files with
FH, but you may have problems importing your DOC files. I don't think
they will come in as separate topics. It would be better to convert the
Word DOC to HTML before importing into FH HTML.
You will have no trouble creating FH InterHelp to deliver with your
web-delivered Java apps. FH also has a strong backup facility built
in, which RH lacks. It is a great application to get started in help
development because of ease of use, integrity, foolproof operation.
BTW, I also like RoboHelp a lot, but for different reasons. I use
the two tools differently to achieve different results.
