Discussion of gender issues _in_technical_communication_
is perfectly legitimate for this list. However, broader
discussion of gender issues is NOT--this isn't the place.

So, unless you can come up with substantive issues in which
the gender (and not background, experience, or other
intangibles) of a writer makes a difference, let's drop
the discussion.
