Again, if the work-at-home arrangements Bob made with his company were in
response to his having become disabled, he needs to look into accommodations
due him through the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). And, his
immediate boss needs to first talk with H.R. before making any hardware/cost
decisions, again, because of the ADA.

Only, Bob knows what his arrangemements are. And, I hope everything works
out for the best for him.

I think the abundance of laptops out "on the road" must pose a greater
challenge to a companies data security/backup policy, compared to a home
worker.
